*The Apparent Diameter is the size of the Moon as observed from the surface of the Earth as measured in degrees of sky. d is for degrees, ‘ for arcminutes for which there are 60 arcminutes or 60′ = 1 d, and ” for arcseconds for which there are 60 arcseconds or 60″ = 1’. 3600″ = 60″ = 1d.
**The Phase angle is the angle of separation between the Sun and Earth as observed from the surface of the Moon. It is also referred to as the Sun-Moon-Earth or Earth-Moon-Sun angle.
#Elongation is also known as the ‘Solar Elongation’ which is the angle of separation between the Moon or any celestial object and the Sun. Elongation can also be used to measure the angle of separation between any two celestial objects in the night skies as measured from the Earth’s surface.
##Albedo is the refraction of light (as a decimal value) coming from the Sun that reflects off a body’s surface. A value of 0.00 for a body orbiting around the Sun it would appear to have a black surface, 0.10 means the object reflects 10% of the light it receives from the Sun, and 1.00 equals a body that reflects all of the light it receives from the Sun. It is not practical for there to be any object in the solar system to have an albedo of 1.00 even with mirrored surfaces and solar panels.
