Messiers, Space Weather, and Solar Eclipse Talk in February!

6:30 p.m. – FYI by Aaron Clevenson: Preparing for a Messier Marathon

7:30 p.m. – Main presentation by Shawn Dahl will be virtual: A Solar Weather Update

Space weather activity has increased as we approach solar maximum. This talk will provide a brief summary of space weather storms and events from 2023 and this year. Also, we’ll examine what people should look for during the eclipse, how to prepare, resources to monitor, and some aspects of astrophotography with the event.

Join us at our new meeting place! We will be streaming Shawn’s presentation at the meeting but you can also join via Zoom.
