Presentation Summary:
In this presentation we’ll delve into the realm of electronically assisted astronomy, or EAA. By harnessing the power of cameras and innovative image software the amateur astronomer now has the means to overcome limitations imposed by our surroundings and view astonishing color and detail of many deep sky objects. Chris Morisette will share his EAA experiences at the George Observatory and with his own equipment, describing how EAA works and what results are possible.
Bonus Presentation!
Chris will also share his astronomy experiences from “down under”. In “Astronomy from New Zealand” we’ll hear why astronomy features so prominently in New Zealand’s culture, get a taste of astronomy from the Southern Hemisphere, and see a brief sample of the night sky!
See you there for a great night of astronomical fun!
