Jakob M. Helton is an astronomer and Evolving Universe Postdoctoral Scholar at the Pennsylvania State University. He received an A.B. in astrophysical sciences from Princeton University in addition to an M.S. and Ph.D. in astronomy and astrophysics from the University of Arizona. His academic work is focused on identifying and understanding the most distant galaxies and galaxy clusters with the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). He is a key member of the JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey (JADES) in addition to the Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam) and Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) Science Teams.
